Portfolio.com’s Felix Salmon offers some debunking facts to the scare-mongering meme of Rep. Kanjorkski’s high-traffic C-SPAN clip about a massive one-day electronic run on the banks back in Sept. 2008, in which he said a global economic collapse was narrowly averted.
Make no mistake, it was bad news back then, and still is now. But apparently it wasn’t the Hollywood drama of Kanjorski’s re-telling.
Really, it’s the pissed-off woman giving Kanjorski a piece of her mind at the start of the clip that’s stuck in my head the most this week.
